The National Football League kicks off its 2005 regular season on Thursday night. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers get their campaign going on Sunday afternoon.

If you agree, you can join the Buccaneers on Friday night as they mark the arrival of the team's 30th season with the Official Season Kickoff Party Presented by Miller Lite.
The 2005 Kickoff Party, to be held in the Channelside District Courtyard, is everything a Buccaneer fan could want in a season-opening shindig: Admission is free, everyone's invited, it's capped off by a live concert and, best of all, it will be attended by some of the Bucs' most popular players and coaches.
Head Coach Jon Gruden will be there; so will Defensive Coordinator Monte Kiffin. You think these guys are fired up for the beginning of the season? RB Cadillac Williams is scheduled to appear at the kickoff party less than 48 hours before his NFL debut.
WR Michael Clayton, eager to prove his record-breaking rookie campaign was no fluke, is scheduled to appear too, as are QB Brian Griese, LB Shelton Quarles, S Jermaine Phillips and S Dexter Jackson. Even General Manager Bruce Allen will be on hand to speak to the fans.
Really, there will be something for every Buccaneer fan at the 2005 Official Season Kickoff Party.
Kids will have the opportunity to meet team mascot Captain Fear, who wouldn't miss an event like this for all the pirate booty in the Caribbean. Those who enjoy routines by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders at home games will be thrilled to see the NFL's best cheerleaders in performance at the party. And music fans won't want to leave early, as a special live performance by national recording artists Sister Hazel will wrap up the evening.
In addition, representatives from the Red Cross will be on hand to collect cash donations to aid in the relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 2005 Official Season Kickoff Party Presented by Miller Lite will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening, September 9. The Channelside District is located in Downtown Tampa, next to the Florida Aquarium on Channelside Drive.
