On Sunday, the Buccaneers topped the Falcons, 23-19, in dramatic fashion. As has become customary after a win, Bucs General Manager Jason Licht jumped into his pool, fully dressed in his suit, with his kids.
The tradition began as a promise to his children, who had asked to have pool parties after games. Licht agreed, but only after victories. Licht, feeling confident in his team's chances, told his kids that they could be having a pool party after the Bucs' Week 2 matchup with the Saints. His kids knew it would be late, so Licht said he'd just jump in the pool with his suit on the second he got home.
Licht has had some company the past few weeks. Two weeks ago, Director of Pro Personnel Jon Robinson took the plunge and this week, Licht was joined by Buccaneers Director of Football Operations Shelton Quarles.
He will routinely post pictures of him jumping into his pool, creating the hashtag #SiegeThePool in the process. As Licht has sieged his pool, Bucs fans have begun to do the same. Below are a few posts from Bucs fans after Sunday's win. Fans who siege a pool of their own can post it to the hashtag for an opportunity to be features on the Bucs' social media accounts or website.
