The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons named their game day inactives on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their shared 2016 season opener in the Georgia Dome. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.
Six of the Buccaneers' seven inactive players are rookies, the exception being third quarterback Ryan Griffin. That means the team has its full list of 22 expected starters available for the opener, as well as all of its key reserves. Starting strongside linebacker Daryl Smith, who missed the last three weeks of the preseason, has returned to action, as has starting right guard Ali Marpet.
The Falcons will be without rookie safety Keanu Neal, the team's first-round pick and a projected starter who is recovering from a preseason knee injury.
