The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles named their game-day inactives on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their game at Raymond James Stadium. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.
The Buccaneers will be without cornerback Brent Grimes and rookie defensive tackle Vita Vea for the second straight week. They were ruled out on Friday but the two Bucs who were considered "questionable" for the game, wide receiver DeSean Jackson and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, were both cleared to play. Jackson will be going up against the team for which he played his first six seasons, three of which ended with him in the Pro Bowl. This is not the first time he's encountered his former team; he played them five times during three seasons in Washington, recording a total of 20 catches for 440 yards and two touchdowns.
Pierre-Paul has also faced off against the Eagles plenty of times, having spent his first nine NFL seasons as a New York Giant. He suffered a knee injury in the season-opening win in New Orleans and was limited throughout the week of practice but will be in the starting lineup on Sunday.
The Eagles will be without a trio of key offensive players: quarterback Carson Wentz, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and running back Darren Sproles. Wentz and Jeffery both came into the season with injury issues and were not expected to be back for this Week Two matchup. Sproles, however, suffered a hamstring injury in practice on Thursday.
