The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed punter Nolan Cooney.
Cooney (6-3, 202) most recently spent time with the Arizona Cardinals (2022-23), appearing in four games and amassing 592 punting yards across 13 punts (45.5 avg.). He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints in 2021 and was later signed to the Indianapolis Colts practice squad in 2022.
The Summit, New Jersey, native played collegiately at Syracuse (2017-20) where he earned All-American and All-ACC honors, as well as the ACC's Brian Piccolo Award in his lone season as the team's starting punter in 2020. He will wear No. 19 for Tampa Bay.
In addition, the team placed quarterback Zack Annexstad on the Waived/Non-Football Injury list.
