The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed wide receiver John Hurst to their practice squad.
Hurst (6-2, 190) originally entered the league as a college free agent with Tampa Bay this past offseason and spent the first six weeks of the season on Injured Reserve (minor). He was activated from Injured Reserve on Oct. 19 and was subsequently waived. Over four seasons at West Georgia, Hurst caught 77 passes for 1,242 yards (16.1 avg.) and 12 touchdowns in 35 career games, earning him a spot on the West Georgia All-Decade Team. The Milton, Georgia, native wears No. 6 for Tampa Bay.
