BUCCANEERS SIGN GOTSIS, JULIEN TO FUTURE CONTRACTS

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that the club has signed defensive tackle Adam Gotsis and punter Jake Julien to future contracts.

Gotsis (6-4, 290) was signed to Tampa Bay's practice squad on January 8, 2025. He originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (No. 63 overall) by the Denver Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft. In total, Gotsis has appeared in 126 career games between the Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts, making 54 starts and amassing 223 tackles (25 for loss), 42 quarterback hits, 22 passes defensed, 10.5 sacks, four fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles. The Melbourne, Australia, native played collegiately at Georgia Tech (2012-15), appearing in 48 career games and logging 110 tackles, 12.5 sacks, five passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions.

Julien (6-2, 217) has spent the last two years punting for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League, where he has appeared in 36 games and punted 228 times for a 49.4 gross average. Julien earned CFL All-Star honors in 2024 after led the league in gross punting average (54.0) and established a new CFL record for the highest-such average in a single season. He played collegiately at Eastern Michigan University (2017-21), appearing in 54 career games and punting 221 times for a 44.0 gross average. He finished his time at Eastern Michigan tied for first in program history in gross punting average.
