BUCCANEERS SIGN CHARLIE HECK

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed offensive tackle Charlie Heck.

Heck (6-8, 311) has appeared in 50 career games, making 23 starts, between the Houston Texans (2020-23), Arizona Cardinals (2024) and San Francisco 49ers (2024). Heck has played primarily right tackle – logging 1,334 career snaps there – yet saw most of his action at left tackle in 2024, seeing 80 snaps there compared to 25 snaps at right tackle. Over the last three seasons, Heck has yielded just two sacks across 311 pass blocking snaps.

He played collegiately at the University of North Carolina (2016-19), starting 34-of-43 career games. He was named second-team All-ACC following his senior season in 2019 when he anchored a Tarheel offensive line that helped generate 474.0 net yards of offense per game, ranking 12th nationally and second in the ACC. The Evanston, Illinois, native is the son of former NFL player and current Kansas City Chiefs offensive line coach Andy Heck.
