BUCCANEERS SIGN BRANDON MATTERSON

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed defensive tackle Brandon Matterson.

Matterson (6-2, 295) originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Denver Broncos, spending the 2024 offseason and training camp with the team before being released on August 2, 2024. He played collegiately at the University of Texas-San Antonio (2018-2023), appearing in 59 career games, making 20 starts and amassing 100 tackles (15.5 for loss), 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and one pass defensed. During his final season with the Roadrunners, he appeared in 12 games and recorded career highs in tackles for loss (six) and sacks (5.0). He will wear No. 56 for Tampa Bay.
