There will be a new player kicking field goals for the Buccaneers in Week 5.
On Monday, the team confirmed that it had released Kyle Brindza. The rookie out of Notre Dame won the starting job in training camp after an impressive performance in the Bucs' preseason finale against Miami.
Brindza struggled in his past two outings, missing five field goals and two extra point attempts. In his four games, he connected on six of 12 field goal attempts. Brindza kicked a 58-yarder in Week 3, the second-longest field goal in Buccaneer history. The Bucs do not have a kicker on their active roster following the release.
