BUCCANEERS PROMOTE TE TANNER HUDSON FROM PRACTICE SQUAD; PLACE LB KEVIN MINTER ON INJURED RESERVE 

Team Signs LB Emmanuel Smith To Practice Squad

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has promoted tight end Tanner Hudson to the active roster from the practice squad and placed linebacker Kevin Minter on Injured Reserve.

Hudson (6-5, 239) originally entered the NFL as a college free agent with Tampa Bay this past offseason and has spent the regular season on the team's practice squad. A native of Paris, Tennessee, Hudson played collegiately at Southern Arkansas. He wears No. 88 for the Buccaneers.

Minter (6-0, 246) played in five games for Tampa Bay this season, recording six tackles on defense, one sack and four special teams tackles.

The team also announced that linebacker Emmanuel Smith has been signed to the practice squad.

Smith (6-2, 240) originally entered the league this past offseason as a college free agent with the Atlanta Falcons. Smith spent the offseason and preseason with Atlanta. A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Smith played collegiately at Vanderbilt. He will wear No. 43 for Tampa Bay.
