On Tuesday, EA Sports released their newest Madden video game – Madden '16. With the release also came the announcement of the Buccaneers' rankings, both for the team and the team's individual players.
On the team side of things, the Buccaneers earned a rating of 74. Sixteen teams, half of the league, were rated between 72 and 79.
As far as individual ratings, Gerald McCoy earned a 95, the highest rating of any Buccaneer. He is the second-highest rated defensive tackle in the NFL behind Miami's Ndamukong Suh, who was ranked one point higher at 96 overall. His 75 agility rating is the third-highest rating among defensive tackles in the league.
One other player, Lavonte David, was rated higher than 90 overall. David (91) is the sixth-highest rated outside linebacker in the league. Mike Evans and Alterraun Verner followed with a rating of 87 while Vincent Jackson and Logan Mankins were closely behind at 86.
Quarterback Jameis Winston earned a rating of 81, the second-highest of any rookie.
According to EA Sports, Kenny Bell and Robert Herron are the fastest Buccaneers with a speed rating of 93 and offensive lineman Matthew Masifilo is the team's strongest player with a strength rating of 93.
