BUCCANEERS ELEVATE MILLER, WILLIAMS

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today elevated wide receiver Ryan Miller and running back DJ Williams from the practice squad to the active roster for Tampa Bay's Week 6 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. It marks the first elevation of the season for both players.

Miller (6-1, 209) originally entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Buccaneers on May 12, 2023, and has spent the last two seasons on Tampa Bay's practice squad. He has appeared in one career game, being elevated from the practice squad in Week 13 of the 2023 season for Tampa Bay's win over the Carolina Panthers. Miller played tight end at Furman University (2018-22), appearing in 53 games and bringing in 151 receptions for 2,146 yards and a program record 28 touchdowns. He was the first player in Furman program history to be named an All-American three times (2020-22), including earning first-team honors in 2020 and consensus first-team honors in 2022. He wears No. 81 for Tampa Bay.

Williams (6-0, 225) originally entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Buccaneers on May 10, 2024, and spent all of training camp with the team before being waived on Aug. 27 and re-signing to the team's practice squad on Aug. 29. Williams played collegiately at Auburn University (2019-20), Florida State University (2021), and the University of Arizona (2022-23), appearing in a combined 47 games and totaling 271 carries for 1,378 yards (5.1 avg.) and 13 rushing touchdowns. During his final collegiate season at Arizona, he established career highs in carries (85) and rushing touchdowns (five). He wears No. 30 for Tampa Bay.
