BUCCANEERS ELEVATE FLOWERS, JONES

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today elevated cornerback Dallis Flowers and linebacker Deion Jones from the practice squad for Tampa Bay's Week 18 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. It marks the second elevation of the season for both players.

Flowers (6-1, 196) was signed to Tampa Bay's practice squad on October 16, 2024. He has played in one game for the Buccaneers this season, appearing on special teams in the Week 14 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Originally entering the league as a college free agent with the Indianapolis Colts in May, 2022, Flowers has played in 22 career games between the Colts and Buccaneers, making five starts and totaling 32 tackles (two for loss), three passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. The Chicago native played collegiately at Pittsburg State (2021), Grand View University (2019-20) and Robert Morris University (2018). He wears No. 28 for Tampa Bay.

Jones (6-1, 222) originally entered the league as a second-round pick (No. 52 overall) by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2016 NFL Draft. He made his Buccaneers debut in Week 17, appearing on special teams and recording one special teams tackle. The ninth-year pro has appeared in 110 career games between the Falcons (2016-21), Cleveland Browns (2022), Carolina Panthers (2023) and Buccaneers (2024), making 91 starts and compiling 729 tackles (50 for loss), 53 passes defensed, 24 quarterback hits, 13 interceptions (five returned for touchdowns – tied for most among all active players), 12.0 sacks, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2017, when he tied or exceeded career highs in tackles (138), tackles for loss (10) and interceptions (three). The New Orleans native played collegiately at Louisiana State University (2012-15), where he appeared in 51 career games and tallied 165 tackles (22 for loss), 5.0 sacks, four passes defensed, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. He wears No. 45 for Tampa Bay.
