BUCCANEERS ELEVATE BREWER AND GREENE

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today elevated defensive linemen C.J. Brewer and Mike Greene from the practice squad to the active roster for Tampa Bay's Week 2 matchup at the Detroit Lions. It marks the second elevation of the season for both players.

Brewer (6-2, 290), who recorded two tackles in Tampa Bay's Week 1 victory over the Washington Commanders, originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Buffalo Bills on May 16, 2022. He spent the majority of the 2023 season on Tampa Bay's practice squad. Brewer has appeared in three career games between the Bills and Buccaneers, logging four tackles. The Bowdon, Georgia, native played collegiately at Coastal Carolina (2017-21). Brewer ranks eighth in Coastal Carolina program history with 230 total tackles and is tied for fifth with 16.0 career sacks. He wears No. 95 for Tampa Bay.

Greene (6-3, 293), who recorded one tackle in Tampa Bay's Week 1 victory over the Washington Commanders, originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Buccaneers on May 16, 2022, following his participation in Rookie Minicamp as a tryout player. He has appeared in 11 career games for Tampa Bay, making two starts and logging seven tackles. The Richmond, Virginia, native played collegiately at James Madison University (2017-21), where he appeared in 58 career games and recorded 177 tackles (39.0 for loss), 18.0 sacks, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He wears No. 91 for Tampa Bay.
