BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Browns running back Trent Richardson sat out practice Friday after being kicked in the right shin a day earlier at training camp.
Cleveland coach Rob Chudzinski said Richardson was kept off the field for precautionary reasons, but would have played if the team had a game scheduled. He is listed as day-to-day.
Richardson missed the Browns' entire minicamp in June with a strained lower right shin. He was the third overall draft pick in 2012 out of Alabama, and rushed for a team-high 950 yards as a rookie.
