The Glazer Family Foundation was founded in 1999 to assist charitable and educational causes in the Central Florida region. For over a decade since, hundreds of organizations in the Bay area have utilized the Foundation's programs to make an impact in Tampa Bay and beyond.

The Foundation is currently accepting applications for Buc-Packs for Back-to-School and Gameday for Kids, two signature initiatives that enhance the educational experience of local youth and provide children with memorable, rewarding opportunities to learn and grow.

Buc-Packs for Back-to-School

Each summer, the Buc-Packs for Back-to-School program provides Buccaneers backpacks filled with school supplies to children throughout Central Florida. In 2010, children from 48 community groups received a total of 3,300 backpacks during the team's training camp at One Buccaneer Place. After receiving backpacks, the children were invited to watch the Buccaneers practice before participating in their own on-field football drills. To date, almost 20,000 bags have been given away to charities throughout the region as the Foundation has seeked to level the educational playing field by making sure undeprivileged youth are sent to school with the proper supplies for learning.

The Glazer Family Foundation accepts applications for the Buc-Packs for Back-to-School program from community organizations with 501(c)(3) status. Applications for the program will only be accepted online at GlazerFamilyFoundation.org and are due by July 1, 2011. To apply now, click here.

Gameday for Kids

Among the Foundation's many long-running community endeavors is Gameday for Kids, an initiative designed to encourage children to achieve their goals through incentive programs run by local community agencies. The Foundation helps these organizations by providing tickets to Buccaneers home games as rewards for accomplishments in various programs.

Attending a Buccaneers game at Raymond James Stadium is a once-in-a-lifetime event for many children in the Bay area. At each home game, the Glazer Family Foundation provides this special experience for 100 different kids. To date, more than 11,000 children representing over 100 organizations from the Bay area have been rewarded for academic achievement and positive behavior with free game tickets, food vouchers and Buccaneers flags.

The Glazer Family Foundation accepts applications for the Gameday for Kids program from community organizations with 501(c)(3) status. Interested organizations should note that the application requires a detailed explanation of how the tickets will be used as an incentive.

Applications for the Gameday for Kids program are also due online at GlazerFamilyFoundation.org by July 1, 2011. To apply now, click here.
