After booting a last-second field goal to lift the Buccaneers over the Panthers, kicker Roberto Aguayo has been voted as the Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Week for Week 5. The rookie drilled a 38-yarder on the final play of the game as the Bucs topped the defending conference champions, 17-14, on the road.
Aguayo was the only special teams player nominated for the award. Other nominees included New England quarterback Tom Brady, Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck, Atlanta running back Tevin Coleman and Detroit cornerback Darius Slay.
The Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Week was determined by a fan vote on NFL.com. Buccaneer fans have been among the best in the league in showing support for their players. In the past two seasons, Bucs have won all but one fan-voted award they were nominated for, including selecting Jameis Winston for the NFL's Rookie of the Year award in 2015.
