1. OC Dirk Koetter
Koetter, who took over as the Bucs' Offensive Coordinator this winter, has now completed an entire spring program with his new players. Although the learning process never ends, he's been able to spend a few months installing his system, and has done so alongside his newly-drafted quarterback, Jameis Winston.
2. QB Jameis Winston
From rookie mini-camp through OTAs and mandatory mini-camp, Winston has impressed his new coaches and teammates with his work ethic and ability to quickly digest the Bucs' new playbook. During his handful of practices open to the media, he's worked with both the first and second-team offenses, and had success with both.
3. LB Danny Lansanah
Lansanah stood out at mandatory mini-camp, just like he's stood out for the entirety of offseason workouts. He's been working with Bruce Carter and Lavonte David as the first-team, strong side outside linebacker all spring and created several turnovers during practices open to the media.
4. RB Doug Martin
Martin is part of a three-way battle for the starting running back spot and has done everything possible to put himself in the position to win the job. He began this offseason at the same weight, but much leaner, and it showed in his play. He was sharp when making cuts in the run game and had a few nice catches, including a bomb from Jameis Winston during mandatory mini-camp.
5. WR Mike Evans
Evans went from a college season to training for the combine to a pro day and private workouts, then immediately reported to rookie mini-camp after he was drafted by the Bucs last spring. This year has been much different. He has a year under his belt and knows what it takes to be successful in the NFL, and he was able to have a real offseason to recuperate from the previous year's wear and tear. Evans' ceiling for improvement might be higher than any player in a Bucs uniform.
