1. Donovan Smith has great feet.
When Smith was drafted out of Penn State, he said that he believed his athleticism set him apart from the rest of the tackles in the draft. On Friday, we got a glimpse of what Smith was talking about. While most were watching Jameis Winston go through passing drills, Smith was working on double-team blocks with the offensive linemen. He was noticeably quick off the ball, and fluid with his footwork in pass protection.
2. Jameis Winston is working in the playbook.
Offensive lineman Ali Marpet said that Winston was up until 1 o'clock in the morning on Thursday going through the playbook. That shouldn't be a surprise, though. At Florida State, Winston was known for studying more film than any player on the team, even while playing baseball. A reporter asked Winston about the playbook during his introductory press conference last week and he said that he couldn't wait to get it. "If you can get the playbook for me please get it for me," he joked.

- There's a big difference from Division III to the NFL.**
There's no doubt that Ali Marpet, the team's second-round pick out of Division III Hobart, was in for some type of transition. He said that he could see the difference in talent almost immediately. "It's definitely a difference," he said. "You could see it even today – the size and speed is different. I got a little taste of that at the Senior Bowl. It's definitely going to be a challenge but I think I can adjust to it and I think the team thinks that I can adjust to it. That's why they brought me here. I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to do that."
4. Kwon Alexander was moving at a different speed than everyone else.
Alexander is the lone defensive draft pick in the Lovie Smith-Jason Licht era, and was playing with a group of players competing to make the Bucs' roster as undrafted free agents or tryout players. Still, he stuck out like a sore thumb as the most explosive linebacker in the group.
5. Kenny Bell is in the early running for best hair in the NFL.
Bell, the Bucs' fifth-round draft pick, is on Twitter as @AFRO_THUNDER80. And he looked all the part on Friday. Bell caught a few deep passes from Winston and is competing for playing time in a crowded wide receiver room that includes Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans.
