1. TE Tim Wright
Tuesday was Wright's first day of practice with the Buccaneers after the team claimed him off of waivers last Friday. He hasn't been in the Bucs' system for a week, but looked fluid running routes and made a couple impressive catches, including a touchdown from Jameis Winston.
2. S Bradley McDougald
During OTAs, the starting safeties were, for the most part, Chris Conte and D.J. Swearinger. On Tuesday, the Bucs mixed things up and rotated McDougald in with the first team while Swearinger ran with the twos. McDougald came on strong at the end of the 2014 season, averaging six tackles per game in the final six games of the season and intercepting Drew Brees in Week 17.
3. LB Danny Lansanah
It seems routine that Danny Lansanah records an interception during practice and Tuesday was no different. The Bucs' second-leading tackler from 2014 picked off Mike Glennon during 11-on-11 drills and brought it back for what likely would have been a score.
4. WR Russell Shepard
Shepard, one of the Bucs' special teams players from a year ago, is developing a nice role on the offensive side of the ball too. Winston was able to squeeze the ball into tight windows to find Shepard on a few nicely-timed routes throughout practice.
5. WR Adam Humphries
If there's a trend in the players that stood out from practice, it's that they're mostly skill players. That's the nature of a non-contact practice. Humphries is the second wide receiver that caught our eye on Thursday after catching a couple of difficult passes on the edge of the field, including one in the back of the end zone where he just managed to keep both of his feet in bounds.
