49ers' WR Joshua Morgan injures ankle

49ers-Morgan Injured

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - 49ers receiver Joshua Morgan injured his ankle late in the fourth quarter in San Francisco's 48-3 victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Morgan caught a 19-yard pass from backup Colin Kaepernick on fourth-and-3 and was tackled just short of the goal line.

Morgan's legs bent awkwardly, and he lay on the ground grimacing for several minutes while teammates came over from the far sideline to check on him.

Fans at Candlestick Park chanted ``Morgan! Morgan!'' before the receiver was carried off the field by Vernon Davis and team trainers to the sideline.

He later was driven to the locker room on a cart. It wasn't immediately clear which ankle he injured.

Morgan finished with five catches for 75 yards. San Francisco already is without receiver Braylon Edwards, who missed his third straight game with a right knee injury.
