John Lynch
On the game: "We came out ready to play, but they just took the ball at us. We came out and played hard. That is the makeup of this team. That is what we are paid to do and I wouldn't expect anything different."
On Kurt Warner being a perfect seven-for-seven on the game: "Kurt Warner has always been pretty darn good to me. He came in and played well. He has made major strides from last year. Hats off to him because he played a great game."
On the Rams' early passing success: "I just don't think we were on our A game. We have to accept responsibility when we don't show up and play well. We didn't play well from the start and that type of thing bothers you. Fortunately for us we have time to regroup and come back out next week ready to play. We are a football team that takes a lot of pride in how we go out and play every week. We have to stick together when we come out and have a bad game, just like we would do when we would come out and do something good. We'll get back to work and I guarantee you that we will have a big-time fundamental week heading into our next game."
Derrick Brooks
On the outcome: "Honestly, at the end of the day we want to win. Tonight, we didn't come out and do that. But this team responds well to adversity and it's been a long time since we've felt a loss, so maybe this is a good thing for us. We'll come back on a short week and be ready for next Saturday at home. When you're feeling down, it's good to go back home. I think we're just going to learn from our mistakes this week, come back and out and hopefully get a win on Saturday."
On if the Rams were the Bucs' toughest competition of the preseason so far: "I think our toughest competition is ourselves. We obviously didn't do all the things you have to do to get a win. We had missed tackles and assignment busts in all three phases of the game, and at the end of the day it cost us the game."
On the Rams: "We're going to give them credit, by all means. They won the football game. They made the plays when they had to. I don't ever want to take away another team's credit for beating us, because that's what they did. But at the same time, we have to correct our mistakes."
