Head Coach Jon Gruden
On the game: "We did some good things. We've just got to limit our penalties and obviously improve our kicking game. We really have to stay on our technique and hopefully we can do that in the second half. I'm very pleased with how the offense came out and played."
QB Brad Johnson
On the offensive execution: "I thought the offensive line was outstanding once again. We were able to make some drives against Miami and especially on a short field. We were able to execute down there. We did a great job on our fourth down conversion, scoring the touchdown like we did. Pittman had another outstanding night. He's a real explosive player for us."
On the offensive line's performance: "They're (Miami) a very physical defense, especially with the presence of (Junior) Seau. They were the number one defense in the AFC last year. So, for us to come out, two weeks in a row, was impressive. But the main thing is to build on this and get ready for Philadelphia."
WR Joe Jurevicius
On the offense's performance in the first half: "There is no doubt they (Miami) are a good defense. We are trying to get better as an offense, and you can see some of the improvements we are making. We have a long way to go in terms of getting to where we want to be, but right now we are building. We are laying the foundation, these blocks that (Jon) Gruden talks about all the time. We are going to have to keep building from this game on."
CB Brian Kelly
On how the defense played overall: "We came out here to try and set a standard for the season. We wanted to get off to a good start. We knew we only had a couple plays in us this game, so we wanted to make a splash."
QB Shaun King
On the offense: "We should have finished some drives out there, but we made some mistakes that hurt us and stopped our progress."
On the touchdown: "It was a nice drive. We know what we are doing and have a better understanding of the offense. Our offensive line provided some good protection and Joe (Jurevicius) ran a nice route for the score."
RB Michael Pittman
On his play tonight: "The coaches expect me to make plays. On the goal line, the offensive line made a big hole. Mike Alstott got the key block. I went right off of Mike's foot, through the open seam and I scored."
On his 28-yard catch: "It was big. Brad (Johnson) apologized to me for the other two. I had him beat (LB Junior Seau) and the play was there. It was a good play."
On the offense: "We are like a different offense compared to this time last year. At this time last year we were learning all the things (with the offense). But right now, we know the offense. It's a good time for us."
