Buccaneers High School Girls Flag Football Coach of the Week

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will select all nominees based on specific criteria. Now, it is up to you to vote for the Buccaneers High School Girls Flag Football Coach of the Week. Voting will start on Tuesdays of each week at 9:00 a.m. and end on the Thursdays of that week at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced on the Saturday of that week and posted on buccaneers.com/coachoftheweek and on our social channels.

Please consider the following criteria when voting for the 2025 Buccaneers Girls Flag Football Coach of the Week:

  1. Have winning record, beat a longtime rival, snap a losing streak, defeat a defending champion, and/or record an amazing comeback victory.
  2. Show commitment to player safety by teaching the fundamentals of the game, proper techniques, concussion management practices and adherence to heat and hydration techniques.
  3. Display a strong rapport and have earned respect from the team's players.
  4. Have developed a mutually respectful relationship with game officials by using acceptable methods for questioning and avoiding disruptive behavior.
  5. Be a leader in the game field by always exhibiting positive behavior.
  6. Be involved with outside organizations such as camps, clinics, and coaching conventions.
  7. Be involved with community programs.
  8. Developed excellent relationships with other coaches by being cooperative, considerate and being positive with game related media statements."

WEEK 9 NOMINEES:

Jamahr Carter, Homestead High School: In their eighth year of existence, Coach Carter and the Broncos have continued their dominance with and impressive 11-4 record, finishing their season out with two strong wins, scoring a combined total of 66 points. They now await their opponent for the first round of the playoffs kicking off tomorrow night.

John Grone, Wiregrass Ranch High School: In their first season of existence, Coach Grone and the Bulls have managed to finish the season above .500 and earn their first ever playoff berth in program history. All of their 6 wins have been dominate with 5 of them being shutouts. They look to make a push this week against Wharton.

Jason Ranze, Tarpon Springs High School: The Spongers have earned a ticket to the playoffs after what was a rollercoaster season thanks to Coach Ranze. They managed to secure their postseason quest last week with a strong hard-fought win against Central high school. The play Carrollwood Day School tonight at 7:30pm.

Ian Wald, Nature Coast High School: Coach Wald and the Sharks have been hunting all season long. Posting an impressive 11-3 record and sitting at the top of their division. They have exceeded expectations from last year after posting a 5-5 record and currently are on a 5-game winning streak. They look to make a strong playoff push tomorrow night.

WEEK 8: Andrew Khan, East Lake High School
